New work

I just had some work included in a show at the Asterisk Gallery in Cleveland. http://www.asteriskgallery.com
I think the show looks great and it always good to have a reason to be in the studio making stuff.
Here is the statement about my work from this show.

Artist Statement

Over the past several years I have been making work from the perspective of three personas, the Artist, the Architect and the Farmer. All three represent aspects of my daily life as well as the hopes and dreams I have for myself, my family and my community. For the pieces included in this show, I have produced work from the perspective of the Farmer. Farmers need to be part businessperson, dreamer, inventor and craftsperson (along with several other duties as needed). This Farmer dreams big. While fascinated by the things that cross his path everyday, he envisions and dreams about how to grow his business. Further, the Farmer believes in his community (to a fault) and sees potential where most see only opportunities squandered and rust. The farmer, like all three of the personas I use has a fascination with the world around him. In particular, he is interested in the line where nature and the human built environment begin to blur. -Anderson Turner, May 2009

Each of the collages included in this show are from the perspective of a farmer and done on paper and ink. I'll post more images of other work that was also included as soon as I have it available.
